Andrew M. Teschner
Born in New York City. Admitted to practice by the Florida Supreme Court in 1994, after graduating from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and The Johns Hopkins University. In law school, Teschner was on the staff of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, and participated in the Cardozo Criminal Law Clinic, Cardozo Criminal Appeals Clinic. During law school, Teschner clerked for the in-house counsel of Shearson Lehman Brothers, Inc., and also worked part-time for Professors Barry Scheck and Larry Vogelman in their private practice, and received credit and a Belkin Scholarship for assisting in an annual update of Nathan Sobel's loose leaf reference, Eyewitness Identification: Legal and Practical Problems.
Teschner began his practice focusing on criminal trial law with Miami-Dade County Public Defender Bennett H. Brummer, and the Law Office of Robert D. Malove, and has run his own criminal law office including substantial work in criminal appeals and juvenile delinquency. In 2004, Teschner made the transition to a full-service civil practice, with the Law Office of Brian R. Hersh, including every kind of litigation, estate and probate matters, and corporate drafting. Teschner formerly served on the board of the non-profit group, Kids in America, Inc. Since joining The Orner Law Firm, Teschner has primarily concentrated in the areas of commercial and business litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, family law, personal injury litigation, and criminal defense in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
