Michele Rivera, l.l.C.

Michele graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.  After working in the human resource field for ten years at large public accounting firms, she decided to return to school to get her law degree.   She began law school at Widener University in Delaware and then transferred to the University of Miami School of Law at the conclusion of her first year.  She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami in 2004 where she graduated cum laude and in the top 20% of her class.  In law school, she was an assistant editor of the International and Comparative Law Review, and was a University of Miami School of Law Ambassador to prospective students.  During that time, she clerked at the private office of William L. Petros, Esq. in Coral Gables, Florida.

Her legal experience has been diverse and she has worked in many areas of civil litigation, including worker’s compensation defense, property damage defense, PIP defense, bodily injury, medical malpractice, contract disputes, commercial litigation, and foreclosure defense.  She also has a smattering of experience in family law, criminal defense, and probate law.

She is a member of the Florida Bar, U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Florida, and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar.
